Scott Bowman is a partner with Clareo, a Chicago-based consulting firm dedicated to helping companies generate new ways to grow – within the core, as well as into adjacent and new businesses. Clareo has helped drive growth with firms such as BP, Castrol, GE, AT&T, Amway, Exelon, Kraft, ITW, SCA, Zurich, and others.
Scott brings over 20 years’ consulting and operational leadership experience in sales & marketing, business development, strategic planning, and corporate development (M&A, licensing and partnerships). He has built several businesses and advised companies – from startups to Fortune 1000 firms across a range of industries. He also co-leads Clareo’s Corporate Entrepreneurship & Venturing practice area, which is focused on driving innovation, growth and new business creation internally, as well as externally through partnering with startups & emerging businesses.
Scott is also actively involved in the Kellogg Innovation Network (KIN), a community of senior executives from leading global organizations dedicated to driving growth and sustainable innovation. He has contributed as a guest lecturer, executive coach & facilitator to the Executive Education programs at the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern) and Mendoza School of Management (Notre Dame).
Outside of his work at Clareo, Scott is also active in non-profit leadership. He has served on the Board of Trustees for Ada Christian School, and serves as an Advisor for Partners in Compassionate Care, a West Michigan NGO that built a hospital in South Sudan and driving community-based transformation. He is also active in mentoring and training entrepreneurs in developing countries within Central Asia.
Scott earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He and his wife, Dianne, enjoy a full life together with their three lovely girls in Ada.
